Eco Flex 20 vs Soft Blend Silicone

For a long time most silicone dolls were poured in either a Ecoflex 30 or softer 20 shore. Then full body dolls became popular and a softer blend of silicone became the preferred choice.

Soft blend silicone is usually just EcoFlex 20 mixed with a specific ratio of Slacker. A much squishier, fleshy feel also results in softer features and details. You can notice it the most in places like fingernails and lines in the eyes and mouth. Sometimes features become a little more slack and in extreme cases, distorted as well.

With partials, if poured in Soft Blend, the risk of pulling the limbs out of the cloth is more prominent but can be avoided with care.
